01: Shop Tour

A visit to anyone’s shop is a very personal thing. I’ve always enjoyed visiting fellow woodworkers’ shops and never miss a chance when invited. I’ve been blessed to have a wife that is in total support of my woodworking and though most of my equipment is used I’m pleased with the tools and equipment I’m the caretaker off. I’ve had the pleasure to actually visit one of the most famous American woodworker’s shops to have ever lived—Sam Maloof. Welcome to my humble shop! Not knowing for sure how you found our website but the Shop Tour was produced to give woodworkers (segemented bowl turners) the opportunity to see what tools I use to construct segmented bowls. One of the purposes of the website is to gather data regarding the viability of starting a woodworking business catering to those who would be interested in paying monthly dues to use a state-of-the-art woodworking shop. Do you live in the Greater Kansas City area? If so, locate the survey on the website (www.thehandsonwoodworker.com) and complete it so that we can include your needs in our data collection. Thanks!
